
Born on March 21, 1995, in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Miguel Vargas began his musical training at the age of seven at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory, where he also joined the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela (El Sistema). Through this program, he performed in various children’s, youth, regional, and national orchestras.
In 2015, he moved to Caracas to continue his musical studies under the guidance of maestro Javier Montilla. He was admitted to the National Experimental University of the Arts (UNEARTE) in 2017 and graduated from the Simón Bolívar Conservatory of Music in 2021. In 2024, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from UNEARTE. He has participated in festivals and masterclasses with both national and international teachers, including Raimundo Pineda, Glen Egner, and María Gabriela Rodríguez.
He is currently a flute professor at the Simón Bolívar Conservatory of Music and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music at the Simón Bolívar University under the tutelage of maestro Andrés Eloy Rodríguez. He also runs a recording studio where he produces music for composers and producers around the world, recording not only flute and piccolo but also ethnic flutes such as the Chinese dizi, Indian bansuri, and Native American flute.
