Latest album, Lunchbreak Concert, is live and streaming!
In other news, I am busy working with the RCM recording my new Trumpet Concerto. Looking ahead to release this sometime in 2026.
What is Steve Chowne Music?
With albums of piano, string quartets and chamber wind music already published on major streaming platforms, Steve’s first orchestral recordings were released in May 2024 featuring both an excellent Ukranian quartet, Oleh MStudio, tackling the solo part of his concerto grosso, and friends from Redhill Sinfonia performing Sinfonietta – a short symphony for strings, percussion and celeste.
An album of Steve’s concerti for each of violin, cello and piano, featuring competition winners from Ireland, Italy and Ukraine was released in October 2024 and his album of children’s music hit the streams in early 2025. Incorporating some new recordings of his earlier works, Bedtime Stories, brings these together with a couple of new short chamber pieces about scurrying little animals in a portfolio of accessible shorts with a furry theme.
The most recent recording to be released is Ambience – the third of three piano solo albums, each providing a chill atmosphere will twiddly bits.
Planned for release late 2025 is Lunchbreak Concert: the final touches are being artfully brushed into place and tarted up. More below.
